Quiet Please

The Library – Quiet Please

perceptive senses
soft whisper of page turning
books’ distinct odour
footsteps echo in the aisles
alert eyes read coloured spines

library’s magic
life pulsates in quietness
communication
fingers contact letters, words
intellect merge with story

globe expands its spin
encapsulates world’s knowledge
broadens gathering
emits sparks of cleansing breath
forward universal stage

adjoining your sacredness
intimate friendship awake

above and beneath
