Poppy Fields

Poppy field,
With warm caress from Father Sun
This season is your command
Be brilliant unto this spirit field
Show your nature so it may be mirror-like

For the fallen,
Congregating in this mystical field
It is a great day
Flying colours for our Kin
Mighty strength of stature
Endurance of spirit
Solemn in humble victory

Blooming poppy field,
Contemplate your infinite chef d’oeuvre
See, far below your feet
There lies great stillness

For we are the fallen,
Peace is among us
We have no enemies
Our gift,  this eternal resting abode,

An infinite stately field
Forgiving our suffering
Embracing us dear
Your charm ignite a welcome of unity
We have shed our sole purpose of separation
We have reconciled in life eternal
Surfaced valiant in this honest moment.

Field of blooming poppy,
You are a resplendent welcome
Spread before you
A canvas of majestic honour;
For, there at your feet
The silent,
Those who surrendered
Into Eternal Life.

Poppy canvas,
The World is your garden
For those who have come and gone
They have forgiven, they have gained
They have risen into Eternal Blessings.

Poppy blooms
Lay a path
for generations to come
Propagating Peace
Until all countries are One

The Season is your command
Blooming poppy field …..live …..so all can see.

Canadians recognize Remembrance Day, originally called Armistice Day, every 11 November. It marks the end of hostilities during the First World War and an opportunity to recall all those who have served in the nation’s defence
