Void

DSC_5463

With lantern, night wander through fields
tread as I may, hidden, unseen.
Star studded sky, clear path yonder
unborn child, asleep deep under.

Depleted tears, voiceless, cheer
Open forest, calling me near.
Barren fields, reflect great sorrow
unborn child, asleep deep below.

Fragrant earth, underneath footing
reveal, memorable dwelling.
Dried roses, prostrate long ago
unborn child, asleep deep below.

Conquered silence, in wakefulness
until dawn, recline in stillness.
New day, assuming void sorrow
unborn child, asleep deep below.
