Haiku – Departure

Departure, saying good bye, where will we go from here, I am still here, yet, where have you gone my beloved husband? I see you sitting here, shuffling your feet down the hall, looking at me with vacant eyes, where are you, when did you leave without my knowing, full days of caregiving, feeding, overwhelming circumstances. Dementia, you did well to give us a respite of late. This journey is arduous, good days are a blessing to cherish.

free spirit wholeness
deep knowing  your soul’s presence
my eternal love
